The Breather

For those with neuromuscular disease, The Breather assists in inspiratory and expiratory resistive breathing training (RBT). The oral/motor muscle trainer is effective in strengthening the skeletal muscles of the neck and pharyngeal and laryngeal muscles, and improves respiratory support for phonation, speech articulation, and swallowing. Designed to prevent aspiration, improve cough effort, and increase breath support in speech training. May also be used to improve swallow safety and the potential for a diet upgrade.
