To begin using the vaginal dilator, find a comfortable place that is safe and calming. Use recommended breathing techniques from your pelvic physical therapist that allow for your belly to expand, making it easier to insert the dilator into the opening of the vagina. Keep the vaginal dilator inserted in the vagina and repeat the breathing cycle for 15 minutes or the length of time recommended.
